It’s been a busy summer. This is Lana’s first summer break from school and she sort of/kind of missed it but she enjoyed sleeping in and staying up late.

I think I posted more photos to instagram, Flickr & Facebook than I intended to. I’m trying to keep everything here so when Lana is older and wonders about the life of her parents and what we did when she was younger, she’ll have it all in one place. I’m trying to keep everything here so when I’m 80 and can’t remember the little details about my life, I’ll come here and have it all in one place. I’m trying to keep everything here so my future grand kids, great-grand kids & great-great-grand kids will know about the average life of a home schooling mom and wonder why people used Facebook & Google products that unfairly used and gathered our private information – and we knowingly and willingly used their products anyway. They will come here when they have a school report due on their ancestors. They’ll come here to meet other relatives connected to me. I’m making my own history.

To the future mini me’s: This summer we bought our first house and Lana had her first summer. It’s been quite busy and I apologize for the lack of stories – I’m posting photos today to make up for lack of blog posts.

I got my first real tattoo (the dot your aunt Jackie gave me doesn’t count)

Fell in love with Waldo

Said goodbye to our apartment

Got a new yard to run in

Pretended we lived in the 80′s

Celebrated your uncle Mike’s 32nd birthday in our new house. Officially our first house party.

Babysat your only cousin, Vince, for a month while his mommy was out of town. He loves to color as much as you do.

Watched the fireworks display put on by our neighbors.

Played in the first rain shower we’ve had all drought long.

Made a new friend :)

Chopped off my hair with the help of your uncle Micah. Short in the back, long in the front.

Babysat a bunch of kiddos; all of whom pet Pierre after drawing with chalk. :)

Hunted for trolls.

Made a friend at the ranch
