June. A lot of things happen in June. June is Lana’s half birthday. June is our wedding anniversary. And today (June 1st) we add “First Time Homeowners” to the dance with June.
We did it! Phil and I finally own a house! No more renting, noisy neighbors, nosy neighbors, drunk neighbors,… I’m kidding! We have great neighbors in our apartment complex and I will miss the cosiness of this little community. Is it me or am I loving these apartments more now that I’m leaving them? Heheh
New beginnings, new challenges, new adventures all lead to one thing: New Blog Design of course :)
I’m going to keep it simple. I need my chaotic brain to have a calm place to escape to. Moving from an apartment to a house twice the size is going to be a bit chaotic but also calming once I find my zone.
I’m excited that I find this exciting. Since I don’t like the house much, I thought I’d cry the way I did when I finally caved in to my husbands wishes to make an offer. I secretly wished someone else was interested in the house because I knew my husband wouldn’t enter into a bidding war. Instead, we were their first offer and since they had already bought another house, they were desperate to sell which worked in our favor and we got everything we asked for and then some. I’m so grateful.
I look forward to many years of chaotic happiness in the new home, many years of new life experiences, life lessons and many years of love shared.
Phil, may the next chapter of our story be as crazy, fun, adventurous and wild as our love is.
Honey, I’m home!

Hey, Wendy! CONGRATULATIONS on the purchase of your first home! You’re a homeowner! Woo-hoo! :) I’m so happy for you and your lovely family. And I wish you many happy years enjoying your new family base. I heard a great quote once, “home is where our story begins.” May you thoroughly enjoy this next chapter! Best wishes! –Melissa
Thank you! & I like that, “home is where our story begins”, it’s perfect! I’m loving this house more and more as the days go by. We met some of our neighbors the first day moving in and met a couple of others the next day. It feels so friendly here and the peace and quiet is a welcomed change from apartment life.
Lana loves it here, the dogs love it here, my husband loves it here & I love it here :) However, the house could use new flooring – green carpet isn’t my style :)
Congratulations on the house! May you make many wonderful memories under that roof.
Thank you! Wonderful memories are in the making. We’ve met half the neighbors and had our first water leak – good times! It’s great learning how to DIY repairs. I think I’m going to love this “home ownership” thing.
